The Concierge position at American House Senior Living Communities plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the community during weekend shifts and other scheduled times. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Concierge oversees the management and integrity of the building, acting as a frontline representative to provide exceptional customer service to residents. This role requires responsiveness to resident concerns, the execution of emergency procedures, and active coordination of weekend activities. The Concierge is expected to be proficient in the BILD sales system and serve as an essential communication link by notifying management of emergencies and maintenance needs, thereby helping maintain the community's standards of comfort, safety, and high-quality living. This position offers an opportunity to work in a role where interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for serving seniors converge to contribute positively to the lives of those in the community. Employment details such as salary and hours are dependent on scheduling, typically revolving around weekend availability and occasional shift coverage as assigned by the Executive Director.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work weekends and scheduled shifts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations
  • Proficiency with BILD sales system
  • Reliable and responsible work ethic

Job Duties

  • Ensure the highest quality of customer service is available for our residents
  • Respond and address any resident concerns which arise during shift
  • Responsible for carrying out any emergency procedures required during shift
  • Responsible to be knowledgeable and successful using the BILD sales system
  • Responsible for running or overseeing weekend activities
  • Notify Executive Director of emergency situations
  • Note areas or articles in need of repair and report to Assistant Director
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
