Job Description
Compass Concierge is a distinguished provider of residential lobby and concierge services, dedicated to creating elevated living experiences for residents across the Washington, DC Metro Area. As a growing organization focused on service excellence, safety, and professionalism, Compass Concierge operates within the property management industry, specifically focusing on luxury residential and mixed-use communities. The company’s philosophy centers on valuing every interaction, ensuring that the front desk is not only staffed but curated to maintain a welcoming atmosphere combined with secure and efficient service. With thousands of residents served daily, Compass Concierge aims to empower its employees to foster safe, secure, and engaging environments wherever they work.
The Front Desk Concierge role at Compass Concierge is integral to the success of the company’s mission. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available throughout the DC Metro area, providing an ideal career path for individuals possessing a strong hospitality mindset aligned with a solid security or protective services background. This position demands a professional who can expertly manage the complex dynamics of a bustling residential lobby while ensuring that residents feel both safe and uniquely valued. The role functions as the heartbeat of the building, combining the responsibilities of security, customer service, and operational logistics in a way that elevates the resident experience.
In this role, the Front Desk Concierge builds rapport with residents by learning their names and preferences to deliver remarkably personalized and professional interactions. Responsibilities include monitoring building access, verifying guests and vendors, and enforcing property policies to uphold security standards. Additionally, the concierge conducts routine perimeter awareness rounds, responds swiftly and calmly to emergencies, and collaborates with property management and local authorities when necessary. Detailed incident and shift reports are a crucial aspect of the role, ensuring transparent communication and record-keeping. The position also involves managing package logging, vendor check-ins, service requests, and facilitating move-in/move-out logistics.
The Front Desk Concierge acts as a knowledgeable resource for residents and guests by providing local recommendations, managing amenity reservations, and maintaining a polished and professional lobby environment. The role also requires the use of professional de-escalation techniques when handling conflicts or disruptive situations, supporting a safe and welcoming atmosphere at all times. Candidates must have prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or protective services, alongside strong communication skills and a minimum of three years in customer-facing roles with a service-oriented approach. Competency with property management systems like BuildingLink or Yardi is advantageous.
Compass Concierge offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including accrued paid sick time, paid time off for full-time employees, health and term life insurance, an employee assistance program, and growth opportunities within the organization. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and supporting its workforce through continuous professional development and a supportive workplace environment. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality balanced with vigilant security, Compass Concierge offers a rewarding and fulfilling career path dedicated to your growth and success.
