Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in clerical or customer service roles preferred
- availability to work evenings and weekends including Saturdays and Sundays
- proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to perform light custodial duties
- ability to handle cash and financial reconciliations securely
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and community center software
- understanding of relevant equipment, policies, and safety procedures
- ability to make independent decisions and recognize managerial issues
- effective interpersonal skills to work with employees, vendors, contractors, and the public
- ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
- accurate typing skills with timely task completion
- initiative and sound independent judgment
- ability to write reports and correspondence
- capability to present information and respond to inquiries professionally
Job Duties
- Represent the Town of Mead positively to patrons and employees
- provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- attend in-house staff training
- complete paperwork such as timesheets and daily reports timely
- provide tours and assist guests with facility rentals
- perform light custodial work and equipment set-up
- handle program registrations and withdrawals
- maintain knowledge of registration systems and program offerings
- enforce community center rules and safety policies
- follow opening and closing procedures including securing the facility
- handle cash, credit cards, and checks securely
- proactively communicate and problem-solve regarding scheduling and customer needs
- respond effectively to written and verbal communications
