The Front Desk Attendant position at the City of Euless Recreation Center is a critical role responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the facility’s entry point. This role involves monitoring all activities occurring within the center, offering essential program information, and effectively managing the issuance of recreational equipment. Working under general supervision, the front desk attendant serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests entering the facility. They are entrusted with verifying membership credentials, processing registrations for classes and athletic events, and handling fee transactions for memberships, daily passes, racquetball reservations, room use, and various classes.
In addition to guest services, the Front Desk Attendant is also accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the general recreation areas, locker rooms, and bathrooms. This responsibility includes following an hourly checklist to ensure the facility consistently meets high standards of cleanliness. The position requires excellent communication skills to assist visitors, resolve complaints promptly, and collaborate effectively with other staff members.
The role also involves supervising community service volunteers, supporting after-hours rentals and special events, and responding quickly and calmly in emergency situations. Candidates must possess knowledge in cash reconciliation, demonstrating proficiency in managing cash drawers accurately. Additionally, candidates are expected to be flexible with their schedule, having the ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or recreation center operations preferred
- ability to maintain regular attendance

Job Duties
- Monitors all activities of the recreation center and provides information about recreational programs
- registers people for classes and athletic events
- receives fees for memberships, daily use fees, racquetball reservations, room use, and classes
- admits members and guests into the recreation center according to membership policy
- checks proof of membership and accepts fees
- maintains cleanliness of general recreation areas, locker rooms, and bathrooms following an hourly checklist
- assists in resolving participant complaints
- reports all injuries and incidents to supervisor and assists with necessary documentation
- supervises community service volunteers
- is available to work after hour rentals and special events as needed
- performs other related duties as assigned
