Job Description
DuPont Country Club is a distinguished private club that offers a variety of recreational and social amenities to its members. Known for its commitment to creating an enriching environment, the club continually enhances its facilities and services to meet the needs of its community. Recently, DuPont Country Club has expanded its offerings by opening a brand new Fitness Center dedicated to promoting health and wellness among its members. This new addition reflects the club's dedication to fostering a positive, energetic, and supportive atmosphere where members can achieve their fitness goals while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow club members.
As part of this expansion, DuPont Country Club is seeking a part-time Front Desk Attendant for the Fitness Center. This position is crucial as the Front Desk Attendant serves as the first impression and primary point of contact for members entering and exiting the fitness facility. The role requires an individual who is enthusiastic about fitness and capable of providing an exceptional member experience through friendly and professional interaction. The Front Desk Attendant will work under the guidance of the Athletics Assistant Manager and will play a vital role in maintaining the welcoming and lively environment that the club strives to cultivate.
The primary responsibilities involve greeting members by name, checking them and their guests in, facilitating appointment scheduling for personal training and swim lessons, and effectively communicating ongoing events or updates. This position demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and professionalism in appearance and demeanor are essential for success in this role. Additionally, the Front Desk Attendant is responsible for handling payments, maintaining cleanliness of the Fitness Center, answering phone calls, and assisting with any member requests or concerns, ensuring follow-up to resolution when necessary.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive, upbeat personality with a genuine desire to contribute to a healthy and vibrant community. Dependability, punctuality, and responsibility are key qualities, as well as proficiency in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel. While prior customer service experience is preferred, ongoing training in CPR and AED certification is required shortly after employment commences. This commitment to safety underscores DuPont Country Club's dedication to providing a secure environment for all members.
This part-time opportunity offers individuals passionate about fitness and service a chance to become an integral part of a growing club community. By joining DuPont Country Club's Fitness Center team, Front Desk Attendants help enhance the overall member experience, contributing to the club's mission of promoting wellness and enjoyment through exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere.
