With operations spanning ten states and over 60 active or developing locations, Pet Paradise has established a strong presence as a trusted destination for premium pet care. The company is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and entertaining environment for pets, ensuring that pet parents have access to the highest quality services all under one roof. As a drug-free, smoke-free, equal opportunity employer, Pet Paradise fosters a supportive and inclusive workplace that values diversity and is dedicated to complying with all federal and state laws regarding discrimination. Reasonable accommodations are also provided to support individuals with disabilities in performing essential job functions.
The Front Desk Associate role at Pet Paradise in Wilmington offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about pets to become the welcoming face at the resort. Starting at $13 per hour—with scheduled increases after six months and annual anniversaries—the position combines customer service, animal care, and operational tasks to deliver an exceptional experience for both pets and their owners. Front Desk Associates play a crucial role in creating a friendly and positive first impression as they greet pet parents and their pets, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and ensure all guest needs are met during their stay. This job is not a typical front desk role; it includes physical activities such as walking pets, handling harnesses, and maintaining suite readiness.
The role is enriched with opportunities for advancement through Pet Paradise’s unique training academies including the Unleashed Leadership Academy for management training, the Dog Training Academy which offers scholarships for becoming certified dog trainers, and the Grooming Academy that provides pathways to becoming a professional pet groomer. Additionally, employees enjoy numerous perks like complimentary pet day camp, boarding benefits, on-demand pay, discounted veterinary and grooming services, fitness reimbursement, paid time off, and comprehensive health insurance options for full-time associates. This dynamic and rewarding role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with animals, possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, and are comfortable with physical labor and flexible scheduling. Pet Paradise emphasizes a team-oriented, cheerful workplace culture that values detailed documentation and prioritizes outstanding customer experiences, making it a fulfilling career choice for those who are passionate about pet care and customer service.
