With over 60 locations spanning across ten states, Pet Paradise offers a wide array of services including resort-style pet day camp, professional grooming, veterinary care, and overnight boarding in a warm and welcoming environment. Their mission is to deliver the happiest, healthiest, and longest life possible for furry family members by offering all the essential pet care amenities under one roof. The company is known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and compassionate pet care, making it a favorite destination for pet owners seeking top-tier services for their pets. The Front Desk Associate role at Pet Paradise’s Richmond Airport resort is a dynamic and engaging position that plays a vital part in creating a positive first impression for pet parents and their pets as they arrive at the resort. This position goes beyond traditional front desk duties by requiring a passion for animals combined with exceptional customer service skills. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for welcoming guests with warmth and friendliness, managing check-ins and check-outs, coordinating suite placements, and ensuring all pet and pet parent needs are met with meticulous attention to detail and care. This role also involves active physical engagement with pets by walking them during drop-off and pick-up times, handling harnesses, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lobby, entryway, and specific pet care areas like the cat room. Strong communication skills are essential as this role requires answering phone calls, responding to emails and voicemails promptly and courteously, and serving as a liaison to the veterinary team when needed. The position demands flexibility in scheduling including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods, as well as the physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and handle pets of all sizes.

Pet Paradise offers its Front Desk Associates a competitive starting wage of $13.50 per hour, with incremental increases at six months and on each annual anniversary, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding employee dedication. Beyond monetary compensation, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, 401(k) with company match, health, dental and vision insurance for full-time employees, and additional supportive programs such as an Employee Assistance Program with mental health benefits. Moreover, employees gain access to opportunities for career advancement and skill development through exclusive company-sponsored programs like the Unleashed Leadership Academy, Dog Training Academy, and Grooming Academy, with scholarships available for certifications in canine behavior and professional grooming. Employees also enjoy unique perks such as complimentary pet day camp, boarding, discounted veterinary and grooming care, adoption assistance, fitness reimbursements, and on-demand pay, making Pet Paradise not just a job but a rewarding career path for pet lovers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of pets and their families.
