The community is deeply rooted in the Hawaiian philosophy of Malama, which emphasizes care, respect, and stewardship for others. This philosophy guides every aspect of the daily operations and resident interactions at Kahala Nui, making it a warm and welcoming place for seniors to live comfortably and with dignity.

As a full-time Front Desk Associate at Kahala Nui, you will play a crucial role as the welcoming face of this esteemed community. This position is embedded within the Resident Services team, which focuses on delivering outstanding customer service and support to residents, guests, and fellow staff members. The role contributes significantly to maintaining the positive reputation of Kahala Nui by ensuring that all individuals who enter the community feel valued and well taken care of. Working a varied schedule that includes weekend and night shifts, this role is essential in supporting the seamless functioning of resident services around the clock.

The Front Desk Associate’s responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of tasks, requiring a professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and a compassionate attitude. You will respond promptly and effectively to inquiries, requests, and emergency situations with the highest level of care and professionalism. This includes coordination of Kahala Nui’s Emergency Response system and potentially acting as a First Responder during emergencies by administering CPR or First Aid when necessary. Your duties also include clerical work such as documenting incidents and maintaining accurate reports, as well as guiding visitors and residents throughout the facility.

Training for this role includes exposure to various shifts, enabling you to gain a full understanding of front desk operations during day, evening, and overnight hours. This comprehensive training ensures that you are prepared to handle the diverse needs of the community and ready to provide exceptional service at any time. The position offers an evening shift differential, adding an extra $0.54 per hour for shifts worked from 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM. This role offers not only a competitive work environment but a rewarding career opportunity in a community-centered workplace dedicated to senior wellness and satisfaction.

If you thrive in a dynamic, service-oriented environment where you can make a real difference in people's lives, and if you are committed to upholding the values of respect and care intrinsic to the Kahala Nui community, then this position is an excellent fit for you.
