The Front Desk Associate position at Genesis Health Clubs plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering outstanding customer service. This full-time role involves managing the day-to-day responsibilities at the front desk, including processing guest check-ins, handling member retention efforts, and maintaining a high standard of customer interaction. The associate is expected to embody the club's values by providing timely and courteous responses to member inquiries, managing phone communications efficiently, and being knowledgeable about the club's amenities and offerings. Additionally, this role requires the ability to uphold a professional demeanor at all times and contribute to a positive and organized front desk environment. Job Requirements

  • Available to work weekends and evenings and holidays
  • must hold current CPR certification or obtain within 60 days of start date
  • ability to stand for long periods of time
  • ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • ability to communicate with guests and other associates, including reading, writing and speaking

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cash handling and credit cards
  • customer service abilities
  • ability to work well with others
  • present a professional demeanor when representing the Genesis Health Clubs
  • effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking
  • ability to provide input in developing strategies to support club goals and objectives

Job Duties

  • Executes procedures as outlined by front desk manual
  • answer phones, take messages and transfer calls
  • knowledgeable of clubs amenities and surroundings
  • communicates kindly and sincerely using members name
  • attends all staff and club meetings and events
  • establish and maintain professional relationships with members and staff
  • ensures front desk is clean, maintained and organized at all times
  • ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations
