Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- minimum 1 year previous front desk or related experience
- basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute
- must possess composure and positive attitude
- energetic and outgoing personality
- service oriented with excellent customer service skills
- ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- must be team player able to work under minimal supervision
- ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- basic knowledge of arithmetic
- ability to input data and utilize hotel management software
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- must be able to read, write, and understand English
- willingness to travel as needed for hotel familiarization and content creation
- adherence to payroll policies and company rules
- knowledge of company safety and security procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- college degree preferred
- prior front desk or related hospitality experience of 1+ years
- advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and web analytics preferred
- proficiency with OPERA or similar hotel management systems preferred
- ability to write and communicate professionally
- hospitality orientation with excellent customer service skills
- ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- team player capable of working with minimal supervision
- excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- basic arithmetic knowledge
- ability to operate computers and access information
- must be able to read, write, and understand English
- bilingual fluency a plus
- ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Greet and register guests
- provide excellent guest service
- settle guest accounts upon completion of stay
- manage reservations including making, modifying, and canceling
- assist with hotel operator and concierge duties as needed
- communicate hotel services and amenities to guests
- maintain guest history files
- process check-ins and check-outs accurately
- assign guest rooms and issue registration cards
- handle VIP and upgraded accommodations
- resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction
- maintain clean and organized work area
- manage assigned bank and ensure accuracy of money handling
- coordinate with Front Office Manager and supervisors daily
- answer department telephone promptly and professionally
- take and relay messages accurately
- assist with overbooked or walked guests
- provide room change accommodations
- document all guest requests and issues
