The Front Desk Agent role at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key is a pivotal position responsible for being the guests' first point of contact and managing multiple facets of their accommodation. This full-time role requires someone with a passion for customer service and hospitality professionalism. The Front Desk Agent handles essential operational duties including registering guests, managing reservations, providing detailed information about the hotel’s rooms, rates, and amenities, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience. This role also requires resolving guest complaints with professionalism, working closely with housekeeping to maintain room quality, confirming group reservations, and upselling additional services.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven work experience in hotel front desk or receptionist role
  • Familiarity with hotel front desk software systems such as FSPMS or MARSHA
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage reservations efficiently
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints calmly and effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Work experience as a hotel front desk agent, receptionist or similar role
  • Experience with FSPMS or MARSHA hotel management software
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate like Booking and TripAdvisor
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Customer service attitude

Job Duties

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information such as contact details and exact dates of their stay
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees like group and wedding guests
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
