The Front Desk Agent role at the Element Tukwila Hotel embodies the spirit of Level5 Hospitality's commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. The agent serves as the first point of contact for guests upon their arrival and continues to be a vital presence throughout their stay. This position is part-time, offering approximately 8 to 30 hours per week, usually during the PM shift from 3 pm to 11 pm, though this may vary slightly depending on business demands. Reliable transportation, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to punctuality and attendance are essential for success in this role. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for performing all check-in and check-out tasks, handling reservations, responding to guest inquiries and complaints, coordinating with housekeeping, and maintaining a high standard of personal appearance aligned with the company's dress code.

This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and the ability to flexibly manage shifts, including availability on some weekends and holidays. A high school diploma is required, with previous experience as a Front Desk Agent preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary during shifts, navigate the facility efficiently, and occasionally move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Safety is paramount, and employees must adhere to required personal protective equipment and safe work habits. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma

Job Duties

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • operate the front desk according to standard operating procedures and with exceptional guest service
  • know emergency procedures and how to respond
  • complete daily reports and audit correspondence as required by the shift
  • receive and confirm credit cards for validity and acceptability
  • welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • take incoming calls, online and in-person room booking requests, and answer questions about guests' needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, and special requests
  • communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready
  • manage online and phone reservations
  • respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • create incident reports for guest injuries/issues when required
  • maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming in compliance with dress code policy
  • perform other related duties as required or asked by Supervisor
  • address visitor questions and requests promptly, courteously, and efficiently
  • be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • practice safe work habits and use the required safety equipment
  • perform other related duties as required or assigned by the Supervisor/MOD
