Job Duties

  • Provide fast and effective customer service at all times
  • check guests in and out while following established procedures and policies
  • act as the ambassador of the hotel by providing information on hotel amenities
  • review arriving reservations and pre-assign rooms as necessary
  • pre-register groups requesting pre-registration
  • count cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift and prepare shift deposit accurately
  • maintain complete understanding of PMS cash register operation
  • compare housekeeping report with folio log
  • enter wakeup calls accurately and record messages
  • handle all guest complaints efficiently and courteously
  • post phone charges and other charges incurred by guests
  • file folios, registration cards, and reservation cards
  • maintain fresh coffee in the lobby
  • answer telephone efficiently and pleasantly within three rings
  • report any safety hazards or violations witnessed
  • perform other duties as requested
