As a Front Desk Associate at The Ritz-Carlton, you will play a crucial role in delivering the distinguished "Gold Standards" that define the brand’s commitment to luxury hospitality. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, processing various payment types, and ensuring that guests have all the necessary information and support during their stay. You will act as the primary point of contact for guests, promptly addressing their questions, requests, and concerns while coordinating with various hotel departments such as Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet Services to provide seamless service.

Your responsibilities will include confirming reservations, assigning rooms, issuing room keys, managing cash and electronic payments, and resolving any billing discrepancies. Ensuring accurate record-keeping through daily reports and adhering strictly to company safety and security protocols will be instrumental to your success in this role. You will also facilitate the smooth flow of guest arrivals and departures, communicate parking procedures, and provide directions or local area information to enhance the overall guest experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No previous related work experience required
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to following company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys
  • Process all payment types including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • Handle guest check-outs and resolve any late or disputed charges
  • Answer and manage guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure room readiness
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and dispatch bell or valet staff as needed
  • Provide guests with directions and local area information
  • Run and verify daily reports on arrivals and departures
  • Complete cashier and closing reports
  • Manage cash handling including personal and traveler’s checks
  • Follow company safety and security policies
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • Deliver service in line with The Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standards
