Our Shilo Inn Killeen, TX location is currently seeking an outgoing, energetic, and customer-service-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. This role is critical because it represents the first impression many guests will have upon arriving at our hotel. As the first point of contact, the Front Desk Agent plays a key role in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests. The position involves greeting guests warmly, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring that all hotel operations at the front desk run smoothly and efficiently. Exceptional customer service skills are essential to this role, as the Front Desk Agent is expected to handle special requests, promote hotel services such as the Shilo Star Rewards loyalty program, and manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism.
In addition to guest interaction, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as performing bucket checks, verifying credit card authorizations, and ensuring all registration information is complete and legible. Communication between departments is vital to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly, and a positive attitude towards work and coworkers is a must for success in this role. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Positive and friendly demeanor
- Willingness to learn company policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Checking guests in and out of the hotel using the hotel property management system
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Promote the Shilo Star Rewards loyalty program
- Address guest's special requests and transactions in an efficient and timely manner
- Handle multi-phone line systems while demonstrating proper telephone etiquette
- Communicate with all departments and ensure that all guest requests are fulfilled
- Perform bucket checks and ensure that either credit card authorization or other forms of payment has been received for each room
- Examine in-house registration cards for complete, correct and legible information
- Must be able to recite the Shilo Pledge
- Maintain a positive attitude towards work and co-workers
- Promote hotel services and amenities
