The Front Desk Agent position at Summit Hospitality Group hotels plays a critical role in the guest services department. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in Front Desk or Guest Services preferred
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled at hotel computer operations
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to stand, sit, reach, bend, and stretch for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Front Desk or Guest Services experience from Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott preferred
  • Skilled at working under pressure while maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example
  • Skilled at hotel computer operations for reservations, reports, and guest services
  • Able to work various shifts including weekends
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers promptly and courteously
  • Answer questions in a friendly, conversational manner
  • Communicate professionally with associates and guests, even when challenged by irate guests
  • Solve problems quickly and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Explain internet and in-room entertainment access at check-in
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized lobby area
  • Restock brochures, information, and commonly used forms
  • Provide information about local attractions and directions
  • Apply hotel and corporate safety and security policies
  • Attend and complete brand-required training
  • Assist during breakfast and social events to enhance guest service
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of guest accounts at check-in and check-out
  • Support Front Desk/Operations Manager with ordering supplies and coding invoices
  • Promote brand loyalty and adhere to Summit Hospitality Group standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
