Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with customer-facing roles preferred
  • Ability to read written communiques and monochrome computer screens
  • Ability to operate computer, calculator, and telephone keyboards
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to stand for 90 percent of the shift
  • Ability to bend and kneel repeatedly
  • Ability to reach all areas of the hotel
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work indoors in climate-controlled environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FOSSE experience preferred
  • High school graduate level mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
  • Knowledge of computerized cash register systems
  • Past experience dealing directly with the public
  • General customer service skills
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations
  • Highly organized and able to multitask with attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Greets and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests using manual and computerized methods
  • Facilitates guest departure by following established check-out procedures to close accounts and prepare rooms for next guests
  • Calculates and posts monies, receipts, guest accounts accurately using proper cash handling methods
  • Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations in person and by telephone
  • Maintains good customer relations by staying informed of in-house and area functions to provide knowledgeable responses
  • Operates PBX equipment for managing calls, wake-up calls, and paging guests
  • Controls cash transactions at the front desk and maintains responsibility for personal bank as specified
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
