Job Description

We are currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our professional team. This role is critical as the first point of contact for our guests, where providing quality service and operational efficiency are paramount. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for managing guest registration and check-out processes smoothly and accurately while handling various duties such as phone operations, message and mail services, and daily cash accounting. In addition, the agent must be knowledgeable about hotel room assignments, guest preferences, and keep the front desk operations running seamlessly across different shifts.
The role requires a confident, professional, and friendly demeanor accompanied by strong communication skills and attention to detail. You will be expected to maintain excellent interpersonal skills, balancing friendliness with professionalism to ensure guests feel welcomed and respected. You will also be tasked with handling the property management system, providing concierge-style assistance by offering information about local attractions and events, and ensuring adherence to safety and emergency protocols.
This position demands managing monetary transactions carefully, securing the daily shift bank, and verifying credit policies to safeguard hotel assets. Interaction with other departments such as housekeeping, sales, bell staff, and valet is an essential aspect of the role to ensure a coordinated effort in providing superior guest service. We emphasize teamwork and internal communication, understanding that seamless collaboration directly impacts guest satisfaction and operational success.
Candidates for this position should bring a background of prior customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in fast-paced environments. The suitable candidate will be adaptable, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have the capacity to manage practical challenges smoothly. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
- ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- ability to operate the property management system
- ability to capture email and use the PBX system
- accountability for balancing the daily shift bank
- strong organizational skills
