The role of Front Desk Agent at HomeTowne Studios is a pivotal position that directly influences guest experience and the smooth operation of the hotel. This is an hourly, part-time or full-time position with competitive pay starting between $20.00 to $21.00 per hour. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by welcoming guests warmly, handling all guest interactions including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations, and managing accounting and cashier duties at the front desk.

A critical part of the role involves maintaining confidentiality of guest information and hotel data, ensuring privacy and security standards are met at all times. The Front Desk Agent collaborates closely with the General Manager and other team members to resolve guest concerns and communicate key information such as room status, housekeeping needs, and maintenance issues. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment.

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent experience
  • 1 year in previous customer service position
  • must have basic office skills including math, cash handling and computer skills
  • basic English communication skills, verbal and written

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests with friendly greeting and smile while performing all guest related services
  • Handle reservations request
  • check guests in/out
  • handle guest accounting and cashier functions
  • Make, change and monitor reservations
  • reviews and reports rate availability using front desk computer system
  • update and monitor room status
  • promote future sales
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Communicate with the General Manager and other Front Desk Representatives, as needed, about problems, requests and/or concerns regarding guests and rooms
  • Work with housekeeping to communicate checkouts, stay-overs, sleepers, skip, rooms cleaned and rooms in need of maintenance
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
