The Front Desk Associate role at the Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Naperville/Warrenville is a non-management, full-time position offering an hourly wage of $18.50. The position involves working the 3 pm to 11 pm shift and requires a person who is focused on delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic hotel environment. This role forms the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Responsible for ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, the Front Desk Associate adheres to all standard operating procedures and local service operation procedures while addressing guests' needs.

The responsibilities include managing guest registrations and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible, and making guest reservations through established reservation systems and software. The employee handles guest check-ins and check-outs, processing transactions according to hotel policies and cash handling procedures. They expertly navigate customer complaints and inquiries related to hotel services, local attractions, events, safety, and other guest needs. Additional duties include cancelling reservations when necessary and walking guests through the property in a professional manner.

The role also requires inventory management of guest room keys, re-keying when needed, and supporting other hotel departments during peak times or in the absence of other staff members, including duties associated with Bell Person, PBX Operator, and Reservationist roles. Night audit functions may be performed when necessary, especially during overnight shifts. The position demands excellent grooming, strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently while taking direction.

Opportunities to assist with housekeeping, laundry, breakfast service setups and clean-ups, sales, revenue, and marketing clerical duties are also part of the collaborative work environment at the Residence Inn.
