The Hotel Front Desk Agent plays a critical role at Temecula Creek Inn as the foremost point of contact for guests upon their arrival and throughout their stay. This position demands professionalism, efficiency, and courteous interaction as the agent greets guests, checks them in and out, distributes room keys, and processes payments for hotel services. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for responding promptly to guest requests, maintaining thorough knowledge of hotel services and facilities, and actively promoting amenities and services available to guests to enhance their experience.

Key responsibilities include managing reservations, handling cash and credit card transactions with accuracy, and adhering strictly to hotel policies and emergency procedures. The agent must also maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby and common areas, coordinate with housekeeping for timely delivery of guest luggage, and ensure guest safety and satisfaction at all times. This role requires effective communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. At Temecula Creek Inn, the Front Desk Agent also supports other departments such as reservations and sales by providing showroom assistance and service information. The role involves standing for long periods, moderate physical activity, and working with phones extensively. Job Duties

  • Respond and follow-through with all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow all specified procedures to properly conduct Front Desk business including registering guests and assigning rooms
  • Complete group pre-registrations and key packets
  • Block room assignments and reservations
  • Pre-register VIPs, comp rooms, and special attention guests
  • Process adjustments and check-outs
  • Answer telephones
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Handle mail and messages for guests
  • Transfer all necessary information to the next shift
  • Be familiar with all hotel information necessary to increase revenues and enhance customer satisfaction including current special rates and restrictions
  • Actively promote guest use of hotel services and facilities
  • Be familiar with general information about other Pechanga properties such as RV Resort and shuttling services
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the local area to provide guests with directions and information
  • Satisfactorily resolve guest issues referring to Front Desk leadership as needed
  • Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction
  • Manage guest billing and reach out when payment is needed
  • Be completely familiar with hotel emergency procedures and provide calm assistance in emergencies
  • Monitor cleanliness and appearance of lobby and common areas
  • Communicate with Housekeeping for timely luggage delivery
  • Manage labor according to budget and business needs
  • Be aware of arriving VIPs and special requests
  • Provide showroom support for Front Desk, Reservations, and Sales teams
  • Assist Front Desk staff to resolve guest issues
  • Follow all specifications to properly handle credit transactions and maintain credit balances
  • Promote use of in-room safes and safeguard guest valuables
  • Upsell additional facilities and services
  • Follow all policies and procedures of the Front Desk department and Temecula Creek Inn
  • Report suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
  • Practice safe work habits
  • Comply with all company safety rules and regulations
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Perform other tasks including cross-training as directed
