We are currently seeking an upbeat and motivated Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team. This full-time or part-time position involves managing all aspects of our guests' accommodations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out process, and providing comprehensive information about rooms, rates, and amenities. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in creating positive first impressions and maintaining smooth hotel operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-service-oriented mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing reservations via phone and online platforms, verifying payment methods, registering guests, coordinating with housekeeping staff to ensure room readiness, and addressing any guest concerns promptly and professionally. The role also involves upselling hotel services and amenities and maintaining accurate records of bookings and payments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role
  • proficiency in hotel management software
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
  • attention to detail
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a hotel front desk agent, receptionist, or similar role
  • experience with hotel reservations software, like OnQ or Opera
  • customer service experience
  • excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • manage online and phone reservations
  • inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • register guests collecting necessary information like contact details and exact dates of their stay
  • welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
  • respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
  • upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • maintain updated records of bookings and payments
