Job Description

OHM is currently seeking energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Agents to join their team at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Springfield North. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences by warmly welcoming visitors, managing reservations, and assisting with various guest service inquiries. Front Desk Agents serve as the face of the hotel and play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations through effective communication with other departments and adherence to the hotel's credit and cash handling policies.

The Front Desk Agent position requires proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office, along with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. This role offers a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and involves standing for extended periods and performing light lifting.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Hospitality customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform light lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with PMS and Microsoft Office
  • Commitment to customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet guests and assist with registration and room assignments
  • Handle guest inquiries about hotel services, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • Manage room availability, guest accounts, and billing
  • Post charges, process payments, and make change
  • Make reservations and handle guest requests, including safekeeping of valuables
  • Communicate effectively with other departments
  • Follow hotel credit policies and ensure accurate cash handling
  • Support team members and take on additional responsibilities as needed
