In this role, you will greet guests warmly, facilitating a smooth registration process that includes entering and retrieving guest information, confirming room rates, and selecting appropriate room accommodations. You will also be responsible for coding electronic keys, promoting our marketing programs, and providing welcome packets to ensure guests feel informed and cared for during their stay. Additionally, you will offer assistance to guests by either guiding them to their rooms or arranging for bell staff assistance.
At check-out, accuracy and efficiency are paramount. You will ensure that rooms and services are accurately billed using the point-of-sale systems, manage various forms of payment including cash, credit cards, and foreign currency, and process gift certificates and cards. Your thorough knowledge of our hotel’s services, room categories, rates, packages, and local attractions will enable you to answer guest inquiries confidently and provide recommendations that enhance their stay.
Moreover, as a Guest Services Agent, you will utilize up-selling techniques to increase room occupancy and promote additional hotel services and facilities. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel guest services preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in computer and point-of-sale systems

Job Duties
- Greet guests and complete the registration process including entering and retrieving information, confirming guest details and room rates, selecting rooms, and coding electronic keys
- Assist guests with check-out by ensuring accurate billing, handling payments, processing credit and debit cards, converting foreign currency, and managing gift certificates
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, rates, promotions, and local area attractions to answer guest inquiries
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize room occupancy
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
- Handle guest complaints by conducting research and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction
- Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests
