This position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing room assignments, and efficiently handling check-ins and check-outs. Beyond these duties, the Front Desk Agent serves as the pivotal point of communication between guests and various hotel departments, ensuring seamless operations and superior customer service. They are tasked with maintaining accuracy in cash handling, coordinating with the reservations team to confirm reservation details, and managing guest inquiries about hotel services as well as local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
The position requires diligent record-keeping, including maintaining room availability and guest accounts, completing required shift reports, and assisting in closing cash procedures at the end of each shift. Maintaining a neat and professional appearance is essential, as the role demands representing the hotel in a courteous and hospitable manner. The Front Desk Agent must be adaptable and able to handle additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Duties
- Count cash and maintain accuracy of issued cash drawer at start and end of each shift
- daily check front desk log for problems and special requests
- greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
- transmit and receive telephone messages as necessary
- work closely with reservations to ensure correct arrival dates
- communicate all information to the following shift for smooth transition
- work closely with all hotel departments to ensure high quality customer service
