Job Description

Town and Country Resort is a distinguished and cherished hospitality establishment located in the vibrant heart of San Diego's Mission Valley. Renowned for blending mid-century charm with modern luxury, this iconic resort boasts 671 guest rooms, 295,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, and an inviting Southern California spirit that has welcomed travelers from near and far for decades. The resort’s appeal lies in its fusion of comfort, elegance, and a warm atmosphere, making it a preferred destination for both business and leisure guests. The resort emphasizes the delivery of impeccable guest experiences that begin at the very first point of contact.

The Front Desk Agent role at Town and Country Resort is a pivotal position within the hospitality team, serving as the welcoming face and initial point of interaction for guests. This role demands a high level of professionalism, friendliness, and efficiency to ensure each visitor enjoys a seamless and memorable arrival and departure experience. Responsibilities include managing check-ins and check-outs, handling room assignments accurately, providing detailed information about the resort’s amenities and local attractions, and addressing guest inquiries and special requests promptly and courteously. The position requires adaptability to work various shifts between 6:00 AM and 10:30 PM, inclusive of weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of resort operations. This ensures continuous guest service coverage aligned with business demands.

In addition to providing vital operational support, the Front Desk Agent collaborates closely with multiple departments such as Housekeeping, Bell Services, and Reservations to maintain a smooth and efficient guest experience throughout their stay. Attention to detail is crucial for verifying rates, managing billing, processing payments, and balancing daily transactions accurately through property management systems. Furthermore, the agent must uphold all safety, security, and privacy standards to protect both guests and the resort.

Town and Country Resort takes pride in offering a comprehensive benefits package to its employees, underlining its commitment to staff well-being and development. Full-time team members enjoy extensive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, employer-paid life insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, and other perks such as complimentary stays for employees and their families, free daily lunch in the employee cafeteria, and free parking. With a competitive pay rate of $19.25 per hour, this position not only offers financial stability but also the opportunity to be part of a respected and welcoming workplace culture that prioritizes both guest satisfaction and employee growth.

The ideal candidate for the Front Desk Agent position is a genuine people person with the enthusiasm and flexibility necessary to thrive in a bustling resort environment. This position suits individuals who are passionate about hospitality, able to multitask without sacrificing accuracy, and skilled communicators—both verbally and in writing. If you seek a rewarding career where you can create authentic guest experiences and become an integral part of a dedicated team, Town and Country Resort offers a fantastic platform to grow and excel in the hospitality industry.
