We are currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial as the first point of contact for guests and clients entering our hotel. The Front Desk Agent acts as a brand ambassador, ensuring that each guest’s experience begins with a warm welcome and is handled with the utmost professionalism. This full-time position offers an engaging opportunity to interact with a diverse clientele, support various administrative tasks, and contribute to the smooth functioning of daily operations. While providing exceptional customer service, the successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations and inquiries, and maintaining clear and effective communication across departments. The position demands a versatile individual capable of multitasking efficiently, resolving guest issues delicately, and upholding security protocols to protect our guests and premises.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills to cater to guests’ needs and exceptional organizational abilities to manage the demanding front desk environment. The Front Desk Agent will rely on technology to maintain an accurate reservation system and process payments while adhering to company policies and hospitality standards. With an emphasis on guest satisfaction, this role also involves assisting guests with requests such as room changes, providing local information, and ensuring that any complaints or concerns are promptly addressed. Administrative responsibilities include managing communications, handling mail and packages, and ensuring the front desk area remains tidy and professional. Additionally, the role includes monitoring access to the hotel premises for safety and security and may involve responding to emergency situations to safeguard guests and staff.

Our ideal candidate will have at least a high school education or equivalent experience, alongside a friendly and calm demeanor capable of maintaining professionalism under pressure. Basic accounting skills and familiarity with hotel or customer service software are preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with guests and team members. This is a physically active position that may require standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • Greeting and check-in guests in a friendly and professional manner

  • answering incoming phone calls and directing them appropriately
  • responding to emails and inquiries promptly
  • managing room or service reservations, cancellations and modifications
  • assisting guests with requests such as room changes, additional amenities, and local recommendations
  • addressing and resolving guest complaints or concerns
  • performing administrative duties including managing mail and packages, maintaining visitor logs, organizing files, and keeping the front desk presentable
  • monitoring access to the premises and issuing visitor badges or passes
  • handling cash transactions accurately and maintaining cash drawer
  • managing multiple tasks simultaneously including guest service, phone and email communication, and administrative tasks
  • collaborating with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth operations
  • following procedures for emergency situations and providing necessary assistance
