Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • proficiency in using property management systems
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • demonstrated ability to handle cash and perform basic math calculations
  • ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • skills in using computer software and telephone systems
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance
  • willingness to adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • ability to work flexibly with various shifts and duties

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times
  • greet guests warmly and check them in and out efficiently
  • use guest names during interactions
  • anticipate and exceed guest needs and expectations
  • handle guest registration, room assignments, and room blocking
  • operate the hotel computer system and property management software
  • manage the issued bank, including counting and balancing cash
  • process guest mail, messages, wake-up calls, and do not disturb requests
  • respond effectively to guest complaints
  • maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • notify management of maintenance issues and complete work orders
  • adhere to safety standards and report unsafe conditions
  • transport guests using the hotel van when needed
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and wear uniform
  • participate in daily pre-shift meetings
  • communicate clearly with guests, team members, and managers
  • comply with all hotel accounting and credit procedures
  • keep guest and team member items well stocked
  • practice confidentiality of guest and hotel information
  • be flexible to perform other duties as assigned including redeployment
  • promote positive teamwork and morale
  • attend work punctually and adhere to attendance policies
