Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to guest questions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to operate Property Management System and PBX system
  • Must be accountable for balancing daily shift bank
  • Maintain organization and demonstrate quality service
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to adjust vision focus
  • Work in moderate noise environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to guest questions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in various formats
  • Capability to operate Property Management System
  • Proficiency in email capture and PBX system usage
  • Accountability for balancing daily shift bank
  • Strong organizational and quality service skills

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, all packages, and special requests
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Complete all items on appropriate shift checklist by end of shift
  • Follow established key control policy
  • Ensure professional presentation and personal hygiene
  • Ensure proper credit policies are followed and verify credit limit report
  • Submit lost and found articles with completed report
  • Assist with Concierge services and provide information about local area, services, attractions, and events
  • Be knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures
  • Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank including cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Monitor room availability throughout the day
  • Review daily hotel selling status using yield management system
  • Attend monthly department meetings
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure excellent guest services
  • Perform all other duties as directed by supervisor
