The role of Guest Service Representative is pivotal in shaping the guest experience from the moment of arrival to departure. Guest Service Representatives are responsible for welcoming guests, registering arrivals, managing reservations, and providing information about the hotel’s services and local attractions. The role also includes handling guest inquiries, resolving complaints tactfully and efficiently, and ensuring that all guest needs are addressed promptly. Additionally, representatives manage the financial aspects of guest accounts, including billing and payments, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. This position requires proficiency in front desk operations such as operating phone systems, managing key control, and using computer software, including Microsoft Office. It is essential for the candidate to have good communication and multitasking skills, an upbeat personality, and a professional demeanor at all times.

Further responsibilities include collaborating with other departments to maintain room status and facilitate maintenance tasks, employing persuasive selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and revenue, and adhering strictly to health, safety, and security protocols consistent with OSHA, state, and federal guidelines.
