Job Duties
- greet and register guests
- make and modify reservations
- perform hotel operator and concierge duties
- provide attentive and courteous service to guests
- settle guest accounts
- maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- handle and resolve guest complaints professionally
- perform basic math and understand financial transactions
- implement safety and security policies
- complete training in security, alcohol, health, and safety
- communicate effectively with guests and staff
- assist in training new employees
- work with other departments to ensure room status is updated
- use persuasive selling techniques to promote rooms and marketing programs
- carry out front desk responsibilities including cash control, balancing reports, and processing credit cards
- handle lost and found items according to policy
- maintain key control
- operate computer equipment and phone systems
- participate in maintaining a positive work environment
- understand hotel products and services
- perform other duties as assigned
