Job Description

The FOH Lead position is a pivotal leadership role within the restaurant division of H-E-B, designed to oversee the smooth operation of front-of-house activities and contribute to the overall success of the customer service experience.

As an FOH Lead, you will be the frontline supervisor responsible for guiding and supporting front of house Partners to deliver outstanding service by taking guest orders accurately, preparing beverages, delivering delicious food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role requires strong leadership skills as you will assume supervisory duties in the absence of the Manager, directing team members during your shift, and playing an essential role in the training and development of Partners to ensure they meet the highest standards of service and compliance.

The responsibilities of the FOH Lead extend beyond basic service duties; you will assist store management in areas such as inventory control and purchasing, ensuring the operational side of the restaurant runs efficiently. You will also ensure that all activities comply with safety and sanitation regulations, including adherence to TABC guidelines, which regulate the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. This role demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effectively addressing guest concerns, resolving problems tactfully, and fostering strong relationships across the team and with customers.

Job Requirements

  • 18 and older
  • experience in restaurant leadership
  • experience in an H-E-B Restaurant preferred
  • experience in restaurant Point of Sale systems preferred
  • completion of Alcohol Seller Training and Cash Handling training upon hire
  • ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
  • ability to work extended hours and rotating schedules
  • ability to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
  • ability to constantly reach at waist and grasp
  • ability to frequently be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic materials
