Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of bakery experience
- Completion of company orientation, food safety, and sanitation training upon hire
- Ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and working in varied temperature conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan and organize work effectively

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
- Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
- Apply proficient baking and frying skills including equipment setup, operation, cleaning, and maintenance
- Use production tools to plan baking and frying
- Apply proper baking and frying techniques according to visual training aids
- Plan for and break out proper amount of baked goods daily
- Ensure quality control of all products before sending to sales floor
- Ensure baked and fried product reaches showcase and tables on time
- Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product effectively
- Slice, package, label, and rotate products
- Record production and shrink to aid in production planning
- Clean and sanitize display cases and maintain production area according to SOPs
- Comply with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
- Comply with department and store operating procedures
- Operate and maintain all equipment properly
