Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • ability to work in varying temperatures
  • ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
  • ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies
  • must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
  • clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
  • maintain and properly use all department equipment
  • pack out product into display cases
  • rotate products to ensure freshness
  • ensure accurate signage for the department
  • prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
  • perform all duties following local, state and federal regulations
  • dress and groom according to company policy
  • perform duties in accordance with quality assurance hand washing standards and food handling procedures
  • follow recipes to produce food products
  • operate and tend bakery equipment
  • prepare special order requests
  • track sales on production logs
  • take inventory and reorder supplies and ingredients
  • handle product reclamation
  • lift, pull, push merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
  • receive deliveries
  • assist in other departments as needed
  • follow company HAZCOM program and chemical safety instructions
  • adhere to company policies and safety standards
  • code date, mark, arrange, and restock products
  • manage damaged and spoiled products
  • adhere to company shrink guidelines
  • maintain equipment and refrigeration performance
  • complete department training
  • uphold company service priorities including safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency
  • maintain punctual attendance
  • work overtime as assigned
  • work cooperatively with others
  • operate balers, hi-los, power jacks and slicing machines when 18 or older
  • perform other assigned duties
