Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, jump, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds throughout the store and backroom
- ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to maintain confidentiality regarding policy violations
- willingness to support and promote company mission and values
Job Qualifications
- no prior experience or training required
- ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays
- basic knowledge of Point of Sale systems preferred
- good organizational skills
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds
- attention to detail and accuracy
- understanding of retail operational procedures
Job Duties
- compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct
- send alterations, layaways, or special orders to guests via FedEx
- check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
- double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out
- fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping
- remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
- place Sensormatic tags on each garment in designated place
- hang and fold merchandise to be put on the sales floor and steam when necessary
- assist on projects on floor when necessary
- work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software
- receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
- send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors for 30 days
- maintain all shipment-related paperwork
- watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and handle appropriately
- make FedEx labels for outgoing packages and sort by transit time
- send in recalls and Return to Vendors (RTVs) weekly
- keep supplies stocked and organized
- organize fixtures and shelving
- maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
- maintain daily work filed and in order
- communicate policy violations confidentially to management and HR
- provide feedback regarding merchandise handling concerns
- understand and apply Buckle's Code of Ethics and policies
- fulfill mission statement with high level of customer service
- perform special projects as assigned
