Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Prior experience working in a luxury hotel setting preferred but not required
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand and move continuously
  • Visual and hearing ability to detect emergency situations
  • Valid Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform moderately complex arithmetic accurately
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills for customer interactions
  • Ability to stand and move continuously in the front office area
  • Visual and hearing ability to detect emergency situations
  • Familiarity with Opera property management software a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide a warm, sincere welcome to all guests
  • Efficiently complete guest check-in and check-out processes using the hotel's computer system
  • Promote hotel marketing programs, select appropriate rooms based on guest needs, issue room keys and welcome folders
  • Verify and process payments including credit cards, cash, vouchers, and foreign currency transactions
  • Promptly answer telephones, manage guest messaging, mail, packages, and facsimiles
  • Close guest accounts ensuring satisfaction and resolve guest issues or complaints
  • Resolve emergencies and guest complications calmly and effectively
  • Provide backup support for in-room dining food orders
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to hotel policies and regulations
  • Assist with bell-staff duties, safety deposit boxes, photocopying, filing, PBX operations, and reservation support as needed
  • Be available for various shifts including weekends
