The Bus Driver position in Fort Bend, TX, via Fort Bend County Public Transportation is a full-time role designed for an experienced and safety-conscious driver. The position offers a competitive wage of $19.50 per hour, with a planned wage increase in 2026, currently under negotiation. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely along designated routes and schedules, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant ride. You will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain the integrity of the fleet and uphold safety. Your role also involves enforcing seat belt compliance, preparing for emergency scenarios, and adhering to DOT regulations and all company policies. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight hours, is required to meet service demands. The position necessitates passing DOT drug screening and physical examinations to comply with federal regulations prohibiting the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.
