The Porter position at Jenkins & Wynne is a critical role that involves directly supporting daily automotive operations and customer interactions. This role includes greeting customers, assisting in directing them to the appropriate personnel when service advisors are unavailable, and managing the movement of vehicles around the service lanes to ensure smooth and congestion-free workflow. The Porter is responsible for tasks that maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work environment, such as operating floor scrubbers and managing car wash duties. Additionally, the Porter handles the operation of the company shuttle and may assist in transporting customers to and from their vehicles for repair services. This position requires one to be physically active, able to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform duties that sometimes involve bending or other physical activities. Required footwear is slip-resistant shoes to ensure safety while performing these tasks.

As a Porter, you will also conduct quick alignment checks on vehicles exceeding 12,000 miles, retrieve vehicles when customers arrive for pick-up, check in and retrieve loaner vehicles, and perform other miscellaneous duties assigned by management. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company’s underwriter, reflecting the responsibility entrusted to the position.
