Job Description
Walmart Supercenter #572, located at 1201 Stone St, Kilgore, TX, is a leading retail establishment committed to providing customers with an exceptional shopping experience. As part of the globally recognized Walmart brand, this Supercenter offers a vast variety of products ranging from groceries to household items, all designed to meet the diverse needs of its community. The store is renowned for its dedication to customer service, competitive pricing, and a welcoming environment that strives to make shopping convenient and enjoyable. Part of Walmart's strength lies in its commitment to innovation, employee development, and fostering a collaborative work culture. It remains a preferred place not only for customers but also for associates who seek stability, growth, and rewarding work experiences.
The part-time Food and Consumable Associate role at Walmart Supercenter #572 focuses on two primary responsibilities: delivering excellent customer service and executing creative merchandising strategies. Associates are responsible for moving incoming merchandise to the sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and attractively displayed. This role requires attention to detail, initiative in creating eye-catching seasonal displays, and adaptability to meet customer needs efficiently. With available shifts during opening and morning hours, this part-time position offers flexible scheduling options suitable for individuals balancing other commitments.
In addition to a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14 to $27, the role includes additional compensation opportunities such as annual or quarterly performance incentives and premium pay under specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or task complexity. Walmart provides a comprehensive benefits package aimed at improving the well-being of its associates, including medical, vision, and dental coverage along with financial benefits such as 401(k) plans, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits cover a variety of personal and family needs, including parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting time. Associates are also eligible for short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, military leave pay, and reimbursement for adoption and surrogacy expenses.
Walmart stands out through its commitment to education and career development, offering the Live Better U program that covers tuition, books, and fees for various educational pursuits ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and short-term certificates. This benefit is available to both full-time and part-time associates, reflecting Walmart’s dedication to lifelong learning and personal growth. Being part of this role means joining a team that values safety, productivity, and respect, evidenced by Walmart’s strict no-tolerance policy towards illegal drugs and alcohol in the workplace. For those seeking a role that combines customer engagement, merchandising creativity, and the opportunity for personal and professional advancement, Walmart Supercenter #572 provides a strong and supportive environment.
