Walmart Supercenters operate as large-scale hypermarkets combining a supermarket and a department store, offering a comprehensive range of groceries, apparel, electronics, household goods, and more. Serving diverse communities, Walmart focuses on accessibility, affordability, and creating a convenient shopping experience for millions of customers every day.
The Food and Consumable Associate position at Walmart Supercenter #1250 is a full-time role that emphasizes two core responsibilities: customer care and creative merchandising. Associates in this role play a crucial part in ensuring that fresh and consumable products are efficiently stocked and attractively displayed to meet and exceed customer expectations. This position involves moving incoming merchandise to the sales floor promptly and designing seasonal display features that align with current trends and customer needs. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $14.5 to $27.5, with additional compensation through performance incentives and premiums based on schedule, facility, and specific work performed. Available shifts include Opening, Morning, Mid-Shift, and Closing, providing flexibility for associates.
Walmart is dedicated to providing a supportive work environment and a robust benefits package aimed at enhancing the overall well-being of its associates. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage such as medical, vision, and dental insurance, as well as financial plans like 401(k) with company match, stock purchase opportunities, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off options include parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting time, alongside short-term and long-term disability benefits. Associates are also eligible for company discounts, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and a unique educational advancement program called Live Better U, which covers tuition, books, and fees for various educational programs ranging from high school completion to bachelor's degrees. Walmart fosters a drug-free workplace to maintain safety and productivity, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drug and alcohol use on the job.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a dynamic retail environment, possess strong customer service skills, and can contribute to the creative merchandising efforts integral to Walmart's retail strategy. Working as a Food and Consumable Associate at Walmart Supercenter #1250 offers an opportunity to be part of a global company that values diversity, continuous learning, and career growth. The role combines physical activity with interactive customer engagement, making it suitable for motivated people who appreciate a fast-paced and customer-oriented workplace.
