Walmart's mission is centered on helping people save money and live better, and this commitment extends to both its customers and employees. The company operates thousands of stores in the United States and internationally, providing ample job opportunities across numerous roles in retail, management, and logistics.
The Walmart Supercenter #3298 located in Kemah, Texas, is currently seeking part-time Food and Consumable Associates to join its team. This role is essential to ensuring excellent customer service and efficient store operations within the food and consumables departments. Associates in this position are responsible for organizing and stocking merchandise, creating engaging and seasonal product displays, and assisting customers in finding what they need to enjoy a seamless shopping experience. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14 to $27 per hour, dependent on experience and applicable minimum wage laws in the location. Additionally, the role includes the possibility of earning performance-based incentives annually or quarterly, as well as premiums in certain circumstances such as specific shifts, seasons, or work performed.
This part-time position primarily covers mid-shift and closing hours, giving employees flexibility in scheduling and opportunities to balance work with other personal or educational commitments. Walmart places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive work environment, ensuring associates not only fulfill their job duties but also benefit from numerous programs that enhance financial, health, and personal well-being. This includes a robust selection of health benefits such as medical, vision, and dental coverage. Financial benefits like a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance provide long-term security for employees.
Beyond basic pay and benefits, Walmart offers paid time off which encompasses parental and family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave, recognizing the importance of work-life balance. Associates may also benefit from short-term and long-term disability coverage, military leave pay, and unique perks like adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement. To foster personal growth, Walmart provides the Live Better U education benefit program, which fully covers tuition, books, and fees for courses ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and skill certificates. This initiative is designed to help employees advance their careers and personal development while working.
Walmart is committed to creating a drug-free and safe workplace, adhering to strict policies to maintain a productive and secure environment for all associates. This role at Walmart Supercenter #3298 offers a meaningful opportunity to be part of one of the most recognized retail brands in the world, contributing to the daily lives of customers while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and career development programs.
