Job Description

Walmart Supercenter #389, located at 1225 W I-35 Frontage in Edmond, OK, is part of one of the world's largest and most recognized retail corporations. Walmart has built its reputation on providing customers with quality products, excellent service, and everyday low prices. As a supercenter, this location offers a wide variety of merchandise including groceries, household items, electronics, apparel, and more. The store's commitment to community involvement and customer satisfaction makes it a preferred destination for shoppers in the Edmond area. With a focus on innovation and employee development, Walmart fosters a dynamic work environment that encourages growth and teamwork.

The position available at Walmart Supercenter #389 is for a Food and Consumable Associate on a part-time basis. Food and Consumable Associates play a pivotal role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by ensuring that merchandise is effectively stocked, well-organized, and creatively displayed. This role involves moving incoming merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor and setting up seasonal displays that meet customers’ evolving needs. Associates are expected to maintain high standards of product presentation and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $14 to $27, depending on location and experience. Employees may also be eligible for additional compensation through annual or quarterly performance incentives and various work premiums that can add between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, location, season, or task. The available shifts for this role are mid-shift and closing, allowing for some flexibility in work hours.

Working at Walmart provides numerous benefits designed to support both the personal and professional lives of associates. These include health benefits such as medical, vision, and dental coverage, as well as financial benefits including a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off options encompass parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave. Additional perks include short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, military leave pay, and adoption or surrogacy expense reimbursement.

Walmart also offers access to Live Better U, an education benefit program that fully covers tuition, books, and fees for associates pursuing high school completion, bachelor’s degrees, English Language Learning, or short-form certificates. This initiative underlines Walmart's commitment to the professional growth and lifelong learning of its workforce.

Associates are granted Paid Time Off (PTO) or Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other personal needs. The amount of PTO received increases with job classification and length of service and complies with paid sick leave laws. Walmart maintains a safe and drug-free work environment with a no-tolerance policy toward illegal drugs and alcohol, ensuring a productive workplace for all employees. Overall, the Food and Consumable Associate position at Walmart Supercenter #389 offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals looking for a part-time job with competitive pay, meaningful benefits, and chances for personal and career development.
