This position is not your typical kitchen job; it involves a blend of cooking, serving, and customer interaction in small teams of two or three. The food truck serves a diverse menu including pizzas, burgers, fries, and more, all prepared with consistent quality and attention to detail. Employees work in shifts varying from full operation during the summer season—7 days a week—to a more flexible weekend and holiday schedule in the spring and fall. Hours generally range between 11 am and 7 pm on weekdays and extend to 9 pm on weekends, with additional hours occasionally required for deep cleaning and other operational needs.

  • Able to tolerate potential allergens including tree nuts, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy
  • Drug-free and smoke-free workplace

Job Duties

  • Learn and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, menu specifications, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, hot hold well, flat top grill, Turbochef ovens, refrigeration and freezer equipment
  • Assist others in opening/closing the kitchen/truck
  • Prepare quality pizzas, burgers, fries, etc. consistently, quickly, and accurately
  • Effectively handle guest complaints or issues
  • Monitor stock and notify manager when there are shortages
  • Cross-train to cook and work the counter, including cleaning, dishwashing, and prep
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested
