FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER (FULL TIME)

This role is for a full-time Food Transporter/Delivery Driver based at the HLS St. Elizabeth location in Washington, DC. The position operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, offering competitive compensation ranging from $24.00 to $25.00 per hour. The Food Transporter/Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of food, supplies, and other products to various units and service areas. The role involves picking up requisitioned supplies and completed production orders, verifying inventory, loading and unloading goods securely and orderly, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines. Special attention is given to maintaining the quality of hot and cold food items during transport according to company and regulatory standards.

Additionally, the individual in this role will ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle, collaborate closely with staging clerks, and handle rejected or unsold merchandise properly. Providing quality customer service is paramount, requiring interaction with coworkers and clients to uphold the company’s service standards.
