Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related scientific discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in product development or R&D
- Proven experience in flavor formulation development and optimization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of food regulatory standards and labeling requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related scientific discipline
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in product development or R&D
- Proven experience developing, duplicating, and improving flavor formulations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Knowledge of flavor systems, raw materials, and food processing
- Understanding of regulatory and labeling requirements (21 CFR Part 101)
- Experience with Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Keto, and specialty formulations is a plus
Job Duties
- Develop, revise, and duplicate seasoning and flavor blends to meet sensory, functional, cost, and regulatory standards
- Evaluate and select raw materials for product formulations
- Conduct sensory evaluations and analytical testing to guide formulation decisions
- Prepare and test seasonings in final product applications
- Generate ingredient statements and nutritional information using Genesis software
- Enter project data into Salesforce and formulation data into Genesis
- Prepare specifications and coordinate sample shipments to customers
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, suppliers, and customers throughout development
- Participate in innovation and product brainstorming sessions
- Assist Quality with production retains and investigations as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
