The Temporary Food Service Worker position at Michigan Medicine offers an exceptional opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on delivering world-class food service and customer care. This role is essential in supporting the nutrition and dietary needs of patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital setting. The position is located at the Kahn Health Care Pavilion in Ann Arbor and operates onsite with full-time hours, ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week. The work schedule includes morning shifts starting between 6:00 am and 8:00 am, as well as afternoon shifts beginning between 2:30 pm and 6:00 pm. The role is temporary and nonexempt, with a competitive hourly wage of $17.

As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure high-quality food delivery and maintenance of hygienic standards. Your duties may include assembling patient trays, serving meals, washing dishware used by patients, and supporting kitchen operations. Adhering to strict food safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols is critical to this role, ensuring the health and safety of all patients and staff. Additionally, you will follow standard recipes for portion control and operate food service equipment safely and efficiently.
