The Food Supervisor position at Sodexo, located at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, is a full-time role with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy multitasking and who are dedicated to enhancing quality of life through excellent food service operations. As a Food Supervisor, you provide crucial onsite support and oversight in day-to-day food service activities, including fast casual dining, coffee and counter service, cafeterias, events, banquets, casual dining, and cafes. This position requires leadership, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will assist management in coordinating the daily work activities of food service employees and ensuring the operations run smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities include supporting employee training and orientation programs, fostering a safe, healthy work environment, and addressing customer needs by delivering quality food service and prompt problem resolution. The position demands dependability, punctuality, and the willingness to adapt to the varied demands of different accounts and client requirements.

Working in shifts that vary between mornings, afternoons, and evenings, you must be flexible and committed to maintaining excellent service standards throughout each shift. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, though candidates with one or more years of related experience are also encouraged to apply.

Job Duties

  • Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees
  • Facilitate orientation and training of employees
  • Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned and adapt to different business needs and client requirements
