Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Hepatitis A vaccination required or annual testing
- Physical stamina for fast-paced work
- Ability to lift up to 58 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Exposure to various kitchen conditions and chemicals
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and during university closings
- Background check and police records check required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Skilled in using kitchen tools and equipment
- Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling
- Ability to perform basic math operations
- Effective communication skills in English
- Understanding of nutrition and portion control
- Ability to follow time and attendance guidelines
- Ability to handle varying workloads and meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Prepare food following recipes and portion control standards
- Safely measure, weigh, and combine ingredients for quantity preparation
- Utilize kitchen utensils, appliances, and industrial equipment
- Serve food courteously with knowledge of menu items and proper portions
- Transport hot or cold food items to customers and serving lines safely and efficiently
- Load and unload food carts between designated floor units
- Wash, sanitize, and store kitchen utensils and equipment
- Clean tables, counters, floors, and serving areas
- Assist with special events and catering needs
- Provide support to other food services staff as needed
