Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in food service or kitchen environment helpful
ability to lift up to 35 pounds
ability to stand for long periods
basic math skills for cash handling
dependable and punctual
ability to follow instructions accurately
flexible availability during school hours
willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of foods and their preparation and service
knowledge of food sanitation
ability to serve as a cashier
knowledge of the operation and care of kitchen equipment
ability to lift heavy objects
ability to read, write, and follow directions
reliability and flexibility
ability to collect money

Job Duties

Serve as food line server
operate as cashier in the school cafeteria
prepare and cook food items
follow food sanitation and safety guidelines
operate and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, deep-fat fryers, and industrial dishwashers
lift heavy objects up to 35 pounds
stand for extended periods
