The Food Services Department at Children's Health plays a vital role in supporting the organization's mission by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all food preparation and service areas. The Dietetic Aide Sanitation position is an on-site, as-needed role primarily responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining service items. This includes washing dishes, pots, pans, and trays, as well as cleaning floors, walls, and other kitchen surfaces. The role also supports retrieving soiled carts from patient units and assisting with food preparation and line service when necessary. This position operates under an on-call schedule to cover absences, allowing flexible work opportunities.
The successful candidate will be proficient in operating dishwashing equipment, maintaining sanitation standards, and adhering to organizational protocols to promote a safe and hygienic food service environment. They will also contribute to quality improvement efforts by completing required documentation, such as temperature monitoring. With a preferred minimum of one year of related experience, candidates will demonstrate a commitment to food safety by obtaining and maintaining a Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 1 year related experience preferred
- Obtain Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current status thereafter
- Reliable and able to work on-call shifts
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications

- Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and use sanitizing processes
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties
- Operate dishmachine and related equipment
- Clean dishes, trays, serviceware, pots and pans using appropriate sanitizing process
- Organize pots, pans, dishes, servicewares, and place in appropriate location
- Break down, clean, and reassemble dish machine equipment
- Pick up soiled trays and serviceware from patient units as needed
- Assist in food preparation and line service as needed
- Operate and routinely clean and sanitize kitchen equipment
- Complete required documentation for quality improvement including temperature documentation
- Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned
